Alannah Eames
I am a versatile business and travel journalist who covers just about everything from wind turbines, trucks, corporate strategy and white goods to safaris in Africa, cultural differences and restaurant reviews in Europe. I worked for an international media agency for seven years as an international journalist writing country reports on South Africa, Kenya, the Nordic countries, Germany, Albania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Russia and Trinidad & Tobago to name but a few, and producing TV documentaries on Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Malta and Cyprus. My work has been published in leading New York, German and British newspapers; and my TV reports broadcast on CNBC Europe and Fox TV.
“The mind’s like a parachute, it works best when it’s open” is one of my favorite expressions and I try to keep my mind open by mingling with different cultures and people, discovering new places every year and revisiting favorite haunts. As a result, my blog is a mixture of tips about places I know well, observations on cultural clashes, accounts of some “must do” trips and things that have “opened my mind”.
Blogs are for everyone to enjoy and to comment on … if you have a question, comment or feedback on any of my posts, please share them with me!
